General Eligibility Conditions For M.D.S. |
- Candidates securing 50% marks in PGET-2011 will be eligible for admission.
- For SC/BC Candidates eligibility marks shall be 40% in PGET-2011, for reserve seats for this category.
- One year Compulsory Rotatory Internship is an essential pre-qualification with cut off date for completion as 31March of corresponding year.
- Candidates who have passed their BDS Course before 1991 & registered with Punjab/Any state Dental Council will be eligible, without having done compulsory internship.
- Candidate who is already admitted to any Post Graduate degree course shall not be eligible.

ELIGIBILITY NRI:
NRI Eligibility Criteria for NRI (Category I & II) Seat: BDS with not more than three extra attempts in passing all the professional examination taken together. The candidate must have secured a minimum of 50% marks on equalization after deletion of 2% marks for each extra attempt.
Category I : NRIs who originally belonged to the State of Punjab.
Category II : NRIs who originally belonged to an Indian state other than Punjab. |

NRI Candidates Admission |
- The candidates do not have to appear in PGET-2011 or any other entrance test.
- Each candidate must submit, in original, the eligibility certificate from BFUHS. The application form for applying to BFUHS for this certificate is available from the University as well as from their website: www.babafariduniv.com
- Merit shall be determined on the basis of percentage of marks of the BDS Course after deduction for extra attempts as mentioned under eligibility criteria.

NRI/NRI Left Over Seats: |
- As per Punjab Govt. Notification and as amended for time to time.
- In Private Colleges NRI Seats shall be 15% of the total seats in order of preference.
- If sufficient number of candidates under first category are eligible and available then they will be admitted first even if students under subsequent category are higher in merit.
- The NRI students will have to give a bank guarantee/surety bond for the balance of fee, if they opt to pay the fee in installments as provided.
- Any seats remaining vacant under NRI/Sports quota till last date of admission in State Colleges shall go to general pool and in the Private Colleges shall go to the special management/minority quota.
- Merit will be the priority for NRI seats.

GENERAL RULES |
- It is for the information of all candidates that compulsory courses in computer applications have been included in accordance with university notification along with professional curriculum. These courses are compulsory for all students registered with any Medical/Dental Institute. The fee structure for these courses will be separate.
- The fee structure for the privately managed colleges is as per Punjab Govt. notifications(s) for Post Graduate Degree/Diploma courses.
- It is for the information of all candidates that as per Hon'ble Supreme Court of India, if any incident of ragging comes to the notice of the authority, the concerned student shall be given liberty to explain and if his explanation is not found satisfactory, the authority would expel him from the institution. Candidate will remain debassed till finalization of inquiry ordered.
- There shall be no reservation for handicapped candidates seeking admission to the Dental Colleges.
- For any dispute arising out the Jurisdiction shall be Ferozepur.
